At Labelexpo Europe 2023, Cartes is presenting six configurations.

The GE363VJL features a digital finishing technology, Cartes Jet DScreen (JDS) on the Gemini platform, where it is combined with an exceptional laser diecutting and converting system. Together, the technology creates a perfect mix for embellishing, finishing and diecutting digitally printed labels.

The GT360 series with Jet D-Screen (JDS) is integrated with flexo, traditional high performance silk screen printing, high power hot stamping and semi-rotary diecutting. Meanwhile, the GT360 series, combines seven units: Flexo, three silk screen printing units, two hot stamping, and semi rotary diecutting with special devices as labels on labels and cut of window system.

“We have always developed technologies to guarantee the quality of the final products and a maximum production performance,” remarks Enrica Lodi, sales and marketing, Cartes. “That’s the reason why our machines are configured with all the newest gadgets to highlight final products with top-end added-value applications. We will always aim to find solutions and develop innovations where quality, mechanical strength, precision and high production speed are intrinsic.”

The GE362WL+ turret rewinder features fast laser diecutting attributes in a dual version, improved by automatic change of job with the special and patented device ILC. This allows converters to cut dark material without leaving white edges, and they’re able to remove white borders from dark labels.

The GE361L is a more compact unit but at the same time an effective configuration. According to Cartes, this machine setup is an entry level laser diecutting converting machine.

Finally, GE364VHWR is the first finishing technology equipped with hot stamping on the Gemini platform. It features two flexo stations and a semi-rotary diecutting unit.

“In past years, all of our energy has been focused on developing devices that favor the automation of processes and decline part of the work that the operator does in automatic systems, where the error margin is close to zero,” adds Lodi. “This is a very important part for us, and our future developments must be focused on the automation concept, which itself reduces production costs and erases several risky variables.”
